62| Dr. David Spiegel: How Hypnosis Can Help You Unlock Your Performance
Friday Aug 04, 2023
Friday Aug 04, 2023
I am so excited about today's guest, Dr. David Spiegel, because I have been using his Reveri app myself for some time, and it has made a tremendous impact on my life. The ease of accessibility and profound yet simple changes the app provides has truly transformed my perspective.
Dr. Spiegel discusses hypnosis and the essential differences between the actual psychological therapeutic process and stage hypnosis, emphasizing the importance of focusing on what you want, treating your body with respect, and feeling good from the moment you start. Reveri helps reconnect you with your childlike ability to learn and absorb information, and ultimately, by shifting your cognitive flexibility, entirely new perspectives become possible. Weight loss, better sleep, and even curbing addictions suddenly become much more attainable through hypnosis.
Dr. Spiegel also shares his dream for the future - that millions more people will gain access to this life-changing tool through his app. As he mentions, the idea is to help as many people as possible live better, healthier lives and be kinder to themselves.
I am truly grateful that Dr. Spiegel has made hypnosis accessible through technology for all of us to benefit, and I really appreciate his time coming on to the show. This was such a fun conversation, and I can't wait to have him back on. If you enjoy this conversation with Dr. Siegel, I encourage you to go to your app store and download Reveri! Please be sure to also subscribe on your favorite podcast app if you aren’t subscribed already, and if you would share the podcast with at least one other person you know who might also enjoy it and leave me a five-star review, that really helps the show out!

54| Dr. Mark Burhenne - If You Have Teeth You Need To Listen To This
Friday Nov 04, 2022
Friday Nov 04, 2022
Today's guest is who I would call the Michael Jordan of functional dentistry. His unique insights into sleep, oral health, and health overall have drastically changed my life as well as hundreds of thousands of other people's lives. Welcome to the show, Dr. Mark Burhenne!
Mark is unique in his approach to dentistry because unlike most dentists, he doesn't want patients to have to come back repeatedly to his chair. He instead takes a preventative approach. He joins me to discuss his interest in sleep as a dentist; how he came across mouth-taping (which I did a podcast episode about!); why he believes that dentists and physicians should be working together more often; his takes on using mouthwash, black seed oil pulling, and fluoride.
He also answers a series of rapid-fire questions sent in by listeners, including but not limited to whether or not mercury fillings are dangerous, if gum recession can be reversed, what his thoughts are on pulling wisdom teeth, and so much more! A functional dentist won't shame you for cavities and whatnot; they will educate you, and that's what Mark does!
I am so grateful for Mark's time. I learned so much from this conversation and hope that you do too! If you aren't subscribed to the show already, please be sure to subscribe on your favorite podcast app! 53| I struggled with sleep until I found this routine...
Friday Oct 28, 2022
Friday Oct 28, 2022
Although I have some exciting interviews coming up, I am going solo today and want to talk about my sleep routine. Working on my sleep routine and trying to get a good amount of sleep was a struggle for a good twenty years or so, especially with trying to get to sleep in the first place and then staying asleep once I did get to sleep.
I, at first, thought that it was a lost cause, that it was a genetic problem that I couldn't resolve, but one thing that I realized over the last twenty years is that my difficulty sleeping had a lot more to do with habits and behavior than with genetics, so tune in as I share some tips with you on how to sleep better.
I encourage you to try mouth-taping, avoid alcohol, caffeine, and blue light before bed, dim your lights at night, and more. If you tend to struggle with sleep at night, I hope that this episode is helpful for you. If so, then if you aren't subscribed to the show already, please be sure to subscribe on your favorite podcast app! I would also really appreciate it if you would share the podcast with at least one other person you know who might also enjoy it and if you would leave me a five-star review!
