52| How to Create a Powerful Offer With JK Molina
Friday Oct 21, 2022
Friday Oct 21, 2022
I have seen this episode's guest grow over the past couple of years on Twitter. JK Molina has grown a very successful coaching business which he has done coming from Guatemala with English being his second language. He and I chat about what his life was like going door-to-door selling perfume in Guatemala, and he also offers some advice to anyone who is just starting out as an entrepreneur. JK also worked for free for nine months when he was only seventeen years old, and he shares that story as well.
JK has undergone a body transformation, and he discusses how his life has changed since. He also discusses his marketing strategy on Twitter, why he uses a pseudonym, what his plans are for the next ten years, how he wants to be remembered, what activities and feelings make him happiest, and so much more!
JK and I have watched each other grow over the last two years, and I really appreciate his time. I can't wait to do this again with him in the future. If my chat with J.K. hits home for you, then, if you aren't subscribed to the show already, please be sure to subscribe on your favorite podcast app! 48| Adam Smith - Healing the World Through Healing Your Attachment
Friday Sep 23, 2022
Friday Sep 23, 2022
I have actually known today's guest for quite some time! Adam Lane Smith is a former psychologist turned attachment coach with a couple hundred thousand followers on TikTok and a strong following on Twitter, and he and I talk in this episode about, among other things, how attachments impact every single aspect of our lives.
Adam defines attachment as how we connect with other human beings and give love to and receive love from them. What is the difference between healthy attachment and unhealthy attachment, and how do we know when the attachment is unhealthy? What are the symptoms of unhealthy attachment, and how can we create secure, healthy attachment instead? Adam dives into all of these questions and also goes down a great rabbit hole explaining how World War I and World War II impacted generations to come and how we emotionally operate.
He also goes into so much more such as giving advice on how parents can foster secure attachments in their children, even in the event that both parents have to work 9-5 jobs and the children have to spend some time with sitters and/or daycare. I am so happy that Adam reached out and that we were able to do this, and I hope that you enjoy my conversation with him. If you do, then, if you aren't subscribed to the show already, please be sure to subscribe on your favorite podcast app! I would also really appreciate it if you would share the podcast with at least one other person you know who might also enjoy it and if you would leave me a five-star review! Friday Aug 26, 2022
Friday Aug 26, 2022
I welcome Ted Ryce to the podcast today! Ted is a high-performance coach who has worked with celebrities like Sir Richard Branson, Robert Downey Jr., Ricky Martin, and a dozen CEOs of multimillion-dollar companies. We talk in this interview about various topics such as what happens when we start to help clients, what Ted does specifically regarding training and dieting, and even how death has impacted his life.
Ted also touches upon his nomadic lifestyle and why, even though he loves the United States, he does not plan on returning to the States any time soon. He discusses how he had at one point wanted to be a neuroscientist and how that has connected to what he does now, what a protein-sparing modified fast is, why intermittent fasting doesn't always work, how chronic stress negatively affects our health, and more.
As is tradition on the podcast, Ted also answers some rapid-fire questions such as what his favorite exercise is, what his current fitness goals are, what losing people to death has taught him about life, what he hopes his legacy will be, and more. This interview was really enjoyable for me especially since Ted and I sort of work with the same target clientele, and I really appreciate his being so transparent and vulnerable. I am thrilled to welcome Sterling Hawkins to the podcast today! Sterling is an internationally recognized entrepreneur, motivational leader, and public speaker, and he did a TED Talk in 2019 titled “Discomfort Is Necessary for Innovation” which has been viewed 100,000 times! He is also the author of Hunting Discomfort which is all about actively looking for discomfort in order to improve our lives.
We talk about so many different things in this discussion such as what his process for hunting discomfort is, how to lean into our emotions, what the difference is between hunting and discomfort and living with it, why having love in your life is important and how you can go about fostering it, and so much more - including advice on how to conquer the fear of things such as the possible economic recession on the horizon. He also answers a few rapid-fire questions such as who his mentors are, what his most profound experiences have been, and so forth.
What is one major commitment that we can choose to stick to today – without fear holding us back? I encourage you to give that some thought as you check out Sterling's website. I had such a great time having this chat with Sterling, and if you enjoy listening to it, please be sure to stay tuned by subscribing to the podcast so that you don't miss any future episodes. I would also be really grateful if you were to share the podcast with someone you know who might also get something beneficial out of it!
